From 1980 to 1990 Balzers Division of Oerlikon Bührle Group: Director of Staff Technology and Executive Vice President, Business Unit Coating Equipment, Build up of new thin film application business in the field of memory disc (CD and erasable disc) and microelectronics.
From 1991 to 1996 Oerlikon Bührle: Executive Vice President, Corporate Development. Restructuring of Oerlikon Bührle Group, Expansion of Vacuum and Thin Film division, Acquisition and integration of Leybold.
From 1994 to 2005 Cofounder and Chairman of ISE (Integrated System Engineering) in Zurich and San Jose, a software company in the field of physical simulation of integrated circuits (today a division of Synopsys, Inc.).
Delegated member of the board and Chief Executive SaurerGroup (from March 1996 until April 2007). Restructuring of the group, strong driver of worldwide consolidation of textile industry, expansion to Asian markets, build of strong China position, expansion and consolidation of Graziano Transmissioni as a leading worldwide specialty transmission supplier, build up of process oriented organization.
